Volleyball is a sport played by two teams of six on a playground divided by a net.
The aim of the game is to send the ball over the net so that the ball touches the playing field of the opposing team and to prevent the opposing team from reaching the same goal. When sending the ball to the opponent’s area, teams must hit the ball at least once within their own court. Teams can touch the ball up to three times, with block contact, they are allowed to touch the ball four times.
The ball is put into play, the server sends the ball over the net to the opponent’s area. The game; until the ball touches the field of play, goes out or a team makes a mistake.
In volleyball, the team that wins a „rally“ scores a point (Rally Point System). When the receiving team wins the rally, it gains a point and the right to serve. If the referee gives a yellow card to one of the players, he warns the player. If the referee gives a red card, the team with the red card receives a one point penalty. If the service is on the team that receives the red card, they lose their right to serve and the service passes to the other team. If the referee shows yellow and red separately in their hands, the player leaves the game for that set and the player sits in the penalty chair throughout that set. If the referee shows the yellow and red cards simultaneously and in the same hand, that player is disqualified from the match. Volleyball can be played in gyms, on the beach or on the grass. The field dimensions are 18 meters by 9 meters.
